- Operation Remote Switch Deployment has begun (ChrisL)
Here is a short summary of what is expected from the proposed installers:
- Rack or wall mount the HP26xx series switch
- Install GBIC into port 26 or 50 (as needed)
- Move all patch cables from old hub to new switches using the new standard as follows
- (Uplinks ports 49/50 or 25/26)
- (Router, DC and Multi-Purpose Server are ports 1, 2 and 3 respectfully)
- (Clients ports are 48 or port 24 working numerically downward)
- Email switch serial number, building number and room location to Cleopold@ufl.edu
- Test network connectivity at the site after installation
- Take a photo of each location for documentation purposes

- After receiving equipment you are expected to have all switches deployed in 30 days
