Overview

Our Exchange GroupShield "Blocked Content" configuration is a combination of:

  • blocked attachments (see below), and
  • other blocked items based on attachment and/or subjects/key words.

Miscellaneous Blocked Content

In addition to specific attachment types (listed below) other blocked items are temporarily implemented from time-to-time based on circumstances. Examples include German junk e-mail, post card e-mail or a specific user request that seems appropriate to address. These other tempporarily blocked items are removed once effective spam and virus definitions are updated and in place.

Messages with certain types of attachments are blocked both by UF Open Systems and by Exchange (Groupwise). The attachment types which are blocked are as follows:
