To facilitate communication between the central Office of IFAS
Information Technology (OIT) and unit-level technical support personnel,
IFAS Computer Coordinators (ICC) recommend that IFAS unit
chairs/directors designate an official unit-level IT Contact (ITC). The
unit ITC will be the first point of contact for technical communication
between the unit and OIT, serve as one of the unit representatives to
the ICC, and may also serve as the unit IT Security Manager (ISM).
Dissent: Near split vote with alternate wording of last sentence wherein
the phrase "and may also serve as the unit IT Security Manager (ISM)"
would have been dropped.
