IFAS COMPUTER COORDINATORS (ICC)May 12th 2023 REGULAR MEETINGA meeting of the ICC was held on Friday, May 12th, 2023, from the comfort of our own homes and/or offices! Patching updates... (previous discussion) Microsoft May 9th 2023 are listed in the link. May's patches Please note that each major update has it's own patch notes. Microsoft's security update for May 2023 is the lightest in volume since August 2021 with fixes for a total of 49 new vulnerabilities including two that attackers are actively exploiting. A listing of all security updates can be found here. There were several Microsoft Office updates to the Apple version, as recently as 04/11/2023, Version 16.72 Teams is now a part of the Mac Office install. Remote Desktop has also seen a recent update , Version 10.8.2 which is critical considering many people are using RDP to work from their office computers. Keep in mind that RDP will automatically update through the Apple Store app. Also, if you are using OneDrive on your Mac, you may have to manually update to the latest version. (05/09/23) Microsoft released OneDrive: Folder Backup for macOS, you can now redirect the local macOS Desktop and Documents folder to OneDrive. Adobe Acrobat, Reader, Connect, along with several other Adobe products, have updates here. Last updates were May 9th, 2023. Please be aware that Adobe ended Flash support on December 31st, 2020. Java Java updates were in April 18, 2023 for Java 8U371, for all major platforms. Release notes can be found here. Apple There have been several Apple updates (5/2/2023), including security updates and printer driver updates. This includes Catalina, Mojave (EOL November 30, 2021), Big Sur, and the new Monterey MacOS along with iOS updates. Visual Studio 2022 for Mac is now available Visual Studio 2022 SAS SAS University Edition recently had an update. Please visit this link. JMP JMP 16 is now available through the UF Software Licensing Division. It is free. Adobe is now available through the UF Software Licensing Division. Sigmaplot Sigmaplot 14.5 is now available through the UF Software Licensing Division. ArcGIS ArcGIS licensing is due for renewal.
